This noninvasive assessment system detects a pending heart attack so intervention can prevent its occurrence. Continuous monitoring also results in quicker diagnosis, enhanced decision making,  faster,  more appropriate treatment,  shorter hospital stays and lower costs.

Our accredited Chest Pain Center at Lewis-Gale was one of the first in the nation to introduce PRIME ECG^®, an 80-lead body surface mapping system that can diagnose a heart attack and other heart problems more accurately and earlier, when life-saving treatment can be more effective. 

We also offer a complete range of cardiac services including comprehensive cardiac catheterization and heart surgery services, specialized coronary care departments staffed by skilled cardiac nurses, outpatient cardiac diagnostic testing, cardiac rehabilitation program and a support group for victims of heart attack.
